It's only minicamp but Commanders UDFA riser is impossible to ignore

The momentum continues to build.

The Washington Commanders are putting players through their paces at mandatory minicamp. Head coach Dan Quinn wants to keep intensity high and make sure everyone is on the same page before their pre-summer break, which was the only way forward after things fell completely flat during the 2025 campaign.

This is a time for experimentation. It's time to give everyone a fair chance before examining the landscape ahead of training camp. And even though it's still early days, one fast-rising undrafted free agent is already becoming impossible to ignore.

Washington's wide receiver dynamic is under a cloud right now. Terry McLaurin is the only sure thing for consistent production. The rest are breakout hopefuls seeking greater involvement in David Blough's scheme. Of course, there is also ongoing speculation that Brandon Aiyuk or Stefon Diggs could join the ranks a little later in the process.

Jaden Bradley continues to stake a strong claim at Commanders minicamp

Just when that'll be is anyone's guess. But for now, Jaden Bradley is doing everything he can to get noticed.

Bradley didn't get his name called during the 2026 NFL Draft, despite finally breaking out in 2025 at Nevada, where he caught 58 passes for 931 receiving yards and four touchdowns. However, the Commanders thought his 6-foot-3 frame and wide wingspan could potentially be an asset with a little extra refinement.

There is a long way to go and plenty of hard challenges to come, but Bradley is off to the best possible start.

After catching the eye at OTAs, Bradley took this positive form into the first day of minicamp. Team reporter Zach Selby noted several contested catch successes from the wideout in 11-on-11 drills, which builds even more momentum. It'll still be a tough order to make the squad, but the Commanders won't hesitate to take him through if the same trend continues.

It's a crowded room. Aiyuk or Diggs would only increase that. Bradley is focusing on what he can control, and standing out now will serve him well later.

There is a lot at stake for the Commanders next season. They cannot afford to have any passengers. This means Bradley might be fighting a losing battle, but this coaching staff always rewards those who show enough.

While the practice squad remains Bradley's likely destination, that is less certain now. He's dominating the field, and he's already got a big fan in McLaurin. The undisputed locker-room leader doesn't bestow praise unless it is due, so the reports suggesting he has taken the rookie under his wing carry a ton of weight.

It'll be fascinating to see if Bradley can keep this up. If he can, there is no telling what his future holds.
