The Washington Commanders are reportedly still looking for wide receiver help. General manager Adam Peters has not pulled the trigger on any incomings as yet, but that doesn't mean he won't if the right opportunities come along.

Stefon Diggs is among the potential additions. He's made no secret about his intrigue. He also wants his brother, cornerback Trevon Diggs, to join him. While it's nothing more than wild speculation at this point, the campaign is gathering pace from the player's side.

And if the Diggs brothers' mother has her way, her sons will be playing in Washington when competitive action commences in 2026.

Stefon Diggs and Trevon Diggs' mother joins campaign for a Commanders homecoming

Diggs' mother took to social media to lend her support to a homecoming, even jokingly asking part-owner Magic Johnson to give her a call about the possibility. This isn't going to move the needle all that much from Peters' perspective, but it once again makes abundantly clear the players' preferences regarding their next destination.

The Commanders have enough money to sign both with plenty of room to spare. What Peters and head coach Dan Quinn need to figure out is if they can slot into the culture and what the two new coordinators have planned.

Stefon remains highly productive despite his advancing years. He comes with a lot of baggage, but there should be interest in his services now that his legal issues have been resolved successfully.

Trevon is a little more complicated. His production has fallen off a cliff in recent years. Injuries haven't helped his cause, but a potential reunion with Quinn might be enough to get him back to something like his old self.

There is just no telling whether these rumors will eventually have substance. The Commanders probably want to take a close look at what they have during the first portion of OTAs before deciding whether more is needed. And if Peters believes acquiring one or both brothers will help Washington's chances of bouncing back, he won't hesitate.

The Commanders will have a plan of attack. Peters has been aggressive this offseason, and he's also maintained the financial flexibility needed for even more. The two Diggs brothers are obviously keen, but it all comes down to whether Washington shares their opinion.

That hasn't been disclosed. Peters isn't exactly known for revealing his plans, and that'll remain the case here. But if both end up joining the squad, it'll only increase competition and improve their chances of success.

The interest is completely one-sided right now. Let's see if that changes in the not-too-distant future.
