Washington Football Team vs. Seahawks Week 15 preview, how to watch
By Ian Cummings
The Washington Football Team faces off against the Seattle Seahawks today. Can they deal another mounting blow in the NFC East race?
On the surface, the Washington Football Team’s matchup with the Seattle Seahawks doesn’t have substantial implications in the NFC East race. Even if Washington loses, they’ll still be guaranteed at least a share of first place in Week 16 no matter what. And Dallas and Philadelphia are far enough behind to warrant a brief sigh of relief.
But if the Washington Football Team were to win against the Seattle Seahawks, they’d earn even more security in the division race. The Giants play the surging Browns today, and are by no means guaranteed a victory. If Washington wins and New York loses, Washington is 7-7, while New York is 5-9, and the odds tip even more in Washington’s favor.
With that being said, we’ve learned in the past that dwelling on best-case scenarios isn’t always the prudent option for Washington. That may be changing under Ron Rivera, of course — as the recent four-game winning streak has evidenced — but Washington won’t have an easy time today. Russell Wilson is one of the few MVP candidates remaining in the NFL, and on the other side, Dwayne Haskins, making his first start since Week 4, has yet to prove he’s progressed since then.
Haskins’ performance will no doubt be the top storyline in this one. The first-round pick received playing time last week against the 49ers, but looked just as inconsistent as he’d looked earlier in the year. If he can polish his fundamentals, let the game come to him, and hone his traits, perhaps he could put together a more complete showing. But that’s easier said than done.
Regardless, you’ll want to tune in to the Washington Football Team’s game today, and by extension, you’ll want to know how exactly you can tune in. If you live in either local Washington area — state or D.C. — you’ll be able to watch the game live on FOX Sports. If not, you can still stream on your mobile device via either NFL Game Pass or FuboTV. Take a look at our pregame links to make sure you know what to watch for!
