We’re almost halfway through the 2019 regular season. For some fan bases, it’s a disappointment. For the Redskins? It’s bittersweet.

The Washington Redskins face off against the 5-0 San Francisco 49ers today, at what will be a drenched FedEx Field. It’s shaping up to be a very intriguing matchup, especially with Kyle Shanahan coming to town at his highest point since his breakout season as the Falcons offensive coordinator.

The 49ers are on a tear; they’ve beaten every team besides the Pittsburgh Steelers by at least 14 points, and they’ll look to extend that dominant stretch against an inconsistent Redskins squad. Washington, meanwhile, will look to string together two wins for the first time since early last year. It seems unrealistic, but San Francisco is shorthanded. Thus, Washington could make it interesting.

To watch, you can view the game live on television if you live in the local Washington D.C. area.
