Redskins vs. Jets: Game preview, how to watch, and more
By Ian Cummings
The Redskins are nearing the halfway point in their latest preseason stretch; they play the New York Jets tonight.
The Washington Redskins lost a contested battle against the New England Patriots in Week 1 of preseason, but no one afforded the score a second glance. After all, the main goal of preseason isn’t to win. It’s to stay healthy, and to find clarity on a chaotic 90-man roster.
Unfortunately, Washington struggled to meet either of those goals in their 2018 preseason opener. In the first half, Derrius Guice suffered a knee injury that would ultimately end his season, Manasseh Garner suffered a similar injury, Trey Quinn left after being rattled, and Matt Ioannidis experienced a setback to his knee as well.
In Week 2, Washington needs to do everything they can to stay healthy, all the while finding answers to some of the roster’s toughest questions. Some players need more opportunities than others, and unproven players become proven with those opportunities.
In tonight’s game, plenty of unproven players will get their shot. The game starts at 8:00 P.M. eastern standard time. It’ll be broadcast live on ESPN nationwide, so you don’t have to worry about finding other ways to watch! Of course, if you don’t have access to a television, Redskins Radio has you covered as well, and you can also live stream the game on NFL Game Pass or FuboTV.
You might be excited to get started, but there’s still some time before the game kicks off. So while you’re waiting, feel free to browse our pre-game content and catch up on all the latest Redskins vs. Jets preseason knowledge!
