Week 1 is in the books. Now the Redskins turn to their Week 2 opponent, the New York Jets.

The Washington Redskins lost their Week 1 matchup against the New England Patriots in more ways than one. They’ll hope to come out of their Week 2 game relatively unscathed.

While health is a priority, so too is the distribution of opportunities to lesser known players. It’s a necessary endeavor for teams whose depth charts have yet to be settled on the fringes. In Week 2, the Redskins will have plenty of opportunities to give. But how generous will the Jets be?

The Jets present an intriguing test for Washington. While the Patriots gave Washington a chance to battle against a seasoned contender, the Jets are a middling team with enough grit to pose a threat. The Redskins, a team forging an identity, have a lot to gain this week. Here’s how they match up with the New York Jets in 2018.
