It’s time for revenge.

The Dallas Cowboys handily beat the Redskins in the midst of a midseason run earlier this year, running them out of their home stadium. Now five weeks later, it’s the Redskins who have recently won, and it’s the Cowboys who have lost three straight, scoring less than ten points in each of those losses. They’re 2-4 at their home field, and the Redskins will look to increase the number in the right-hand column tonight.

The Redskins are in prime position to enact revenge on their arch-rivals. Kirk Cousins is playing at a very high level, and his receivers are getting better with each passing week. Samaje Perine has instilled new life in the running game, and the offensive line, despite countless injuries, has forged ahead. The defense is settling down after injuries threw their production for a loop earlier in the year, and they held the Giants’ offense to just three points last week.

With the Cowboys missing Ezekiel Elliot and Sean Lee, their two best players on both sides of the ball, the Redskins are clearly the better team, and in a night game, the glare of the sun won’t be there to blind Kirk Cousins when he steps back to throw. After a lazy defensive effort against the Vikings, the Redskins know what’s at stake, week in and week out. They know they still control their destiny. But with one loss, that control is lost.

The Redskins want a win against the Cowboys tonight. And by all accounts, they desperately need it. The Cowboys are in the same boat, but they’re trending downward. Washington can exploit Dallas’ newly-exposed weaknesses, and if they execute their game plan well enough, they’ll leave Dallas back at .500.

This week, the Redskins’ game will be broadcast nationally on NBC, as well as NFL Network. If you can’t get to a television at this point in time, don’t worry. NFL Game Pass and FuboTV are always available for you to live stream on your device. Of course, you shouldn’t watch a second of the action until you know everything there is to know about this game. Both teams need to walk out of this game at 6-6, but only one will have the privilege of doing so. The Cowboys may be on a cold streak, but they’re due for a better performance. Can the Redskins fend them off for another week? We’ll know in no time at all.
