It's no secret that the Washington Commanders desperately need another wide receiver to emerge alongside star Terry McLaurin. Third-round rookie Antonio Williams has been anointed the No. 2 option almost by default, but what if another, less-heralded newcomer emerged?
Enter Jaden Bradley, who went undrafted this year before signing a contract with the Commanders in May. He's quickly made a strong impression on the organization with solid showings during organized team activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp. His efforts thus far have even caught McLaurin's attention.
Bradley might be forcing his way into Washington's plans. At this rate, it wouldn't be shocking to see him crash the 53-man roster conversation, especially given the current state of their wideout room. The UNLV product has a ton of momentum heading into training camp, where he'll have a prime chance to wrap up what's been an impressive offseason.
Commanders UDFA WR Jaden Bradley enters training camp with a golden opportunity
On the surface, the Commanders relying on an unproven, overlooked player of Bradley's pedigree (or lack thereof) in a pivotal 2026 campaign sounds borderline insane. Every NFL club passed up on him just a handful of months ago, and suddenly, he has a path to a meaningful role? It'd be quite a turn of events, to say the least.
However, Bradley could prove valuable if he can continue to stand out when Washington takes the practice field in Ashburn, Virginia. His late collegiate breakout and early rise in the pros suggest there's untapped potential with him.
At 6-foot-4, 195 pounds, Bradley has great size and wears it well. He combines a huge catch radius and good ball-tracking skills with a sneaky ability to do damage with the ball in his hands. Theoretically, pairing him with a slot man like Williams and an all-around talent of McLaurin's ilk makes a lot of sense.
Bradley quietly dominated this past season, yet wasn't in the spotlight much as part of a program in a mid-major conference. He was as productive as some of the nation's top pass-catchers, though, which the numbers bear out.
In 2025, Bradley posted an incredibly efficient 2.53 yards per route run. For context, that's a higher clip than the Cleveland Browns' KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, who were each touted as first-round prospects in 2026. Moreover, the 23-year-old recorded as many receiving first downs (42) as the Carolina Panthers' Chris Brazzell II and Germie Bernard of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a couple of Day 2 selections.
