Commanders vs. Seahawks - Week 3

The Washington Commanders' home opener couldn't be more difficult. Dan Quinn's squad will lock horns with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, and their dominant first contest against the New England Patriots suggested that another bold title bid is possible.
Seattle was dealt an early blow when quarterback Sam Darnold went out of the contest. Drew Lock slotted in seamlessly to lead the charge, and there is faith in the veteran backup to come through with the goods if the USC product is forced to miss time.
Having a smothering defense will carry them until Darnold is ready to return.
The Seahawks lost some key personnel this offseason, but they haven't missed a beat. Head coach Mike Macdonald is a guru in this area of the field, and he'll have a plan in place to make sure Jayden Daniels doesn't have a big say in proceedings.
The early kick-off time might help Washington, given the Seahawks are coming cross-country for a 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time game. And if the Commanders were somehow able to be motivated enough by the home crowd, an upset victory would be the best possible statement to make.
Prediction: Loss (1-2)
That is hard to predict right now. The Seahawks look too strong, but the Commanders still have a slight chance if Darnold isn't back by then.
Commanders vs. Colts - Week 4

Breaking from their usual routine, the Washington Commanders travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London for an international game against the Indianapolis Colts. It's a time to bond and build relationships, but winning the clash is all that really matters.
And the Colts are beatable.
Their first game of the campaign was an unmitigated disaster. The Baltimore Ravens are a strong unit, but Indianapolis' performance was lackluster en route to a heavy loss.
Veteran quarterback Daniels Jones looked shaky, which is understandable. He's coming off a torn Achilles, and many didn't even think he would make it back for Week 1. Things should improve as the season goes on, but he might be vulnerable over the first month.
The Commanders could take advantage of that.
Stopping running back Jonathan Taylor will be key. However, looking at the eye-catching way Daronte Jones' defense managed to keep Saquon Barkley relatively in check, Washington should be confident of doing the same in this one if they win their battles in the trenches.
Prediction: Win (2-2)
No game is easy, but looking at the games Washington faces heading into its Week 7 bye, this is easily the most winnable. Saying it and doing it are two very different things, so nothing but supreme execution will do.
