Everyone has an opinion on wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. And over the last few days, almost everyone has voiced it.
That's a sign of his actions and the ongoing drama between the player and the San Francisco 49ers. The Washington Commanders are reportedly still waiting around, but the timeline for the end of his turbulent relationship with the NFC West club remains sketchy at best.
Some have supported Aiyuk. Others have been deeply critical of the former Arizona State standout. The only opinion that matters from Washington's perspective is that of general manager Adam Peters, who won't hesitate to bring him into the equation if it helps the team.
Just how much Aiyuk can assist is another matter. And for Super Bowl winner-turned FOX Sports analyst Mark Schlereth, he once again made no secret about his strong thoughts.
Mark Schlereth once again tries to warn Commanders away from Brandon Aiyuk
Schlereth didn't hold back when discussing the wideout on 106.7 The Fan. The former offensive lineman doesn't believe any team, including the Commanders, can win with Aiyuk. He's also got no patience whatsoever for the way he's conducted himself throughout this ongoing saga.
"I have no time for that level of selfishness. That level of self-conceit. That level of it's about me and not about the team. You cannot win with guys like that on your team."

This isn't the first time Schlereth has launched a scathing attack on Aiyuk. He's an old-school guy who believes in putting the team first at all times. While the pass-catcher hasn't covered himself in glory, exonerating the team from any blame is miscalculated, too.
There are major red flags around Aiyuk. But given his connection to quarterback Jayden Daniels and Peters' previous knowledge of how the player goes about his business, this should keep complications to a minimum if he does end up in Washington.
Aiyuk's health worries should be far more concerning.
Washington would be getting a top-level performer if he were fully healthy. Unfortunately, Aiyuk has not played since Week 7 of the 2024 campaign. He's reportedly healthy and wants to play, but the Niners are not going to make things easy with decisions covered in bitterness and resentment.
The Commanders are waiting. They are comfortable with the options available right now. Peters isn't planning to trade for the player, but respected league insiders still believe Washington is interested. And there is just no telling when this will end.
Schlereth's constant attacks on Aiyuk won't matter much to him or the Commanders. But for fans, it's nothing more than a waiting game, with no clear signs of a resolution yet.
