This is a complex situation for the Los Angeles Rams. Jalen Ramsey’s imminent trade being leaked could be a good thing in terms of creating a bidding war, or it might see the organization lose some leverage with teams knowing that they want to dump the cornerback’s contract.

Those in power will be hoping numerous teams throw their hat into the ring. Something that looks entirely possible considering how well Ramsey is still performing despite creeping up to 30 years old.

As stated previously, the Washington Commanders would instantly upgrade their secondary with Ramsey. Players of his caliber don’t become available too often, which would give Ron Rivera another marquee name to count on heading into a crucial third season at the helm.

Washington needs to prioritize strengthening the offensive line if they are intent on moving forward with Sam Howell as their starting quarterback. However, in the pass-happy world of the NFL, getting someone that can consistently lock down one side of the field is also high on their to-do list.

Or at least it should be.

Offering the Rams their third-round selection and next year’s second-rounder might be enough. Although this is dependent on how many other teams are also coveting Ramsey in such a scenario.
