What could the Washington Commanders potentially offer to secure the services of All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams?

There should be some movement one way or another regarding the situation involving Jalen Ramsey in the coming days. His time with the Los Angeles Rams looks to be done, which could see the All-Pro cornerback depart the franchise and become the latest big name to get traded if Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network’s report is accurate.

As it turns out, finding a shutdown corner is high on the Washington Commanders’ list of priorities this offseason. Kendal Fuller and Benjamin St-Juste were solid if not spectacular last time around, but acquiring Ramsey would immediately upgrade and legitimize their secondary heading into the 2023 campaign.

Ramsey is looking for a new deal in the event he does get moved. But the Commanders are in a decent financial position and could make something work providing the compensation is satisfactory.

With this in mind, here are three potential trade offers the Commanders could send to Los Angeles for Ramsey.

Commanders trade offer No. 1

The Los Angeles Rams are not blessed with much high-end draft capital this spring. Going all-out for a Super Bowl was a sacrifice worth making, but it’s left them staring a mini-rebuild in the face after a campaign of major underachievement in 2022.

If this is something the Washington Commanders genuinely consider, then offering the No. 48 overall selection could be enough to get a deal over the line. Some might consider this steep, but the team would not get anything like the same caliber of production from the college ranks in the second round.
