The spotlight hasn’t been kind to the Redskins in recent years. Will that change tonight against the Chicago Bears?

After consecutive losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins are 0-2, and at the bottom of the NFC East. There haven’t been many silver linings to take away from the team’s early performance, but against a reeling Chicago Bears offense, they have a chance to get back on the right track.

It’s hard to tell just how thin the ice is for Redskins coaches Jay Gruden and Greg Manusky, after starting off the season slow. Neither coach was given a vote of confidence heading into the season. The Redskins actually tried to replace Manusky during the offseason, and Gruden’s seat has been gradually getting warmer since 2016.

Is Week 3’s Monday night matchup a must-win affair for Gruden and Co.? With the Giants shocking the NFL with an 18-point comeback victory in Tampa, would bad press under the lights be the breaking point for the burgundy and gold? Would a win spark life in the Redskins locker room?

At the moment, there are a lot of speculative questions, and not a lot of answers. All we can do is watch. And you’ll be able to do that by tuning in tonight at 8:15 PM eastern standard time. The Redskins will be playing the Bears at home, on live television. If you won’t have access to a television, you can still stream live with your personal device, via NFL Game Pass or FuboTV.
