The last time the Redskins played the Broncos, their starting quarterback was Kirk Cousins, Martrell Spaight and Zach Vigil were their starting linebackers, and A.J. Francis was a primary backup at defensive tackle.

That was last December.

Now, the Washington Redskins are helmed at quarterback by Alex Smith, a quarterback equally embattled as he is exciting. The defense is restocked with a mixture of returning players and offseason acquisitions. And depth, one thing that was a dire concern last year, is much-improved.

The burgundy and gold have only played three football games since their last matchup against the Denver Broncos. But already, so much has changed.

In the third preseason game, which is widely-regarded as every team’s “dress rehearsal” for the regular season, Washington will get a chance to see how much they’ve improved since facing this familiar opponent. Tonight, we’ll get our first extended look at the starters, who will likely play the entirety of the first half. Alex Smith and Co. will be tasked with putting points on the board, while the team’s monstrous new front seven will attempt to make quick work of Denver’s offensive line.

You can watch the game by tuning into NBC Sports Mid-Atlantic, if you live in the capital area. If you don’t, you can live stream the game on NFL Game Pass or FuboTV, and the radio is also available as well! But before you watch, be sure to comb through our pregame coverage, which is laid out below.
