Redskins’ Radio: It’s Time For A Color Commentator Change

AUTHOR: | IN: Redskins | COMMENTS: 6 Comments

I love Sonny and Sam.  Always have; always will.  But, one of them spends part of his time every game asking what happened on several plays, stating something that’s irrelevant, or just outright being wrong.  I won’t say who that is, because it would hurt this lifelong Redskins’ fan to do so.  But Sam, regardless of whom I’m referring to, please let this season be your last behind the microphone. I know this is likely to be an unpopular position, but I’ve thought this for several years and feel someone needs to express it.  I mean no disrespect to a [...]

Redskins Vs Rams: Can You Say ‘Uninspired’?

AUTHOR: | IN: Redskins | COMMENTS: None Yet

What is it with the Redskins?  Do they have to make things hard on themselves?  They’re 1 of 8 on 3rd downs through three quarters, and have eight less first downs than the Rams.  Maybe they think you can play one quarter and beat the Rams?  Maybe they’re not thinking at all?  Frankly, given the amount of talent on this team, I’m disgusted.   I’ll be disgusted even if they pull this game out.  Relieved, but still disgusted. Washington’s players have to have professional pride.  They don’t have much to be proud about, but surely they take pride in their [...]

Redskins vs Rams: Halftime Report

AUTHOR: | IN: Redskins | COMMENTS: None Yet

Never has the concept of a half consisting of two quarters been more relevant.  In the first quarter of today’s game against the Rams, the Redskins looked like they’d never seen a running play, and Santana Moss looked like his mind was somewhere else, like Tahiti.  In the second quarter, the Redskins looked like they knew how to run-block, couldn’t be stopped if they passed unless they stopped themselves, and were thoroughly enjoying rattling Sam Bradford’s cage.  Wow – what a difference a quarter makes. I still have my migraine left over from quarter #1, and am still horse.  But [...]

First Place Redskins Vs Rams: Does Bradford Only Have 2 Targets?

AUTHOR: | IN: A Closer Look, Redskins | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Yea, you read right.  The Redskins lead the NFC East.  Of course, they’re in first by the slimmest of margins, and it’s ridiculously early to track division and conference standings.  On the other hand, the NFL tracks division and conference standings week-to-week, so ‘why not we’ as they used to say in Philly? The Redskins are the only NFC East team with a division win.  They’re also the only NFC East team with positive net points.  Applying those criteria, they’re ranked 5th in the NFC.  If the playoffs began next week … ah, forget it.  Seriously though, it’s not exactly [...]
