Terry McLaurin is performing at an extremely high level this season. The Washington Commanders wide receiver enhanced his All-Pro claims with another astonishing moment in Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints.

With the Commanders losing Noah Brown to a serious internal issue, the offense was relying on McLaurin more than ever in this one. This is nothing new for the Pro Bowler, who remained a shining light amid the chaos throughout Ron Rivera's tenure. He normally steps up and delivers. That didn't take long to arrive at the Caesars Superdome.

Terry McLaurin secures sensational touchdown catch at Saints

After the Commanders got some good fortune with a penalty on Greg Joseph's successful field goal attempt, Washington's offense spectacularly took full advantage. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels put his elite improvisation skills to good use, evading pressure before launching the football into the end zone.

McLaurin was the target. The former third-round pick out of Ohio State brought in the contested catch with aplomb.

This was McLaurin's 10th touchdown of the campaign — already a career-high mark. It's his fourth score in the last three contests and further typified the exceptional credentials he brings to the table.

One would assume that Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase are locks to earn All-Pro honors, but the third spot is very much up for grabs. Washington's primary weapon in the passing game stands a better chance than most of securing the prestigious distinction.

McLaurin is finally benefitting from stability. Washington's long-suffering fanbase has always been aware of his greatness. Now that the wideout has a legitimate quarterback to call upon, it's helped take his game up a notch and the entire league has noticed.

This is the biggest positive imaginable for McLaurin. If the receiver does manage to secure an All-Pro nod this season, it'll make the decision to give him a contract ahead of time pretty simple from Adam Peters' standpoint.

He's got another year remaining on his deal after the season. Looking at McLaurin's age and the esteem in which he is held within the franchise, tying him down long-term will ensure he gets the chance to finish his career in Washington.

This highlight reel play was just another fine example of how well McLaurin has performed.
