Washington Commanders 2022 Schedule and Results

The Washington Commanders 2022 schedule is infinitely easier on paper relative to last season. As always, six of their 17 games will come against the NFC East.

This year, Washington will lock horns with every team from the AFC South and NFC North with games against the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns sprinkled in. The Week 17 matchup vs Cleveland is something to keep an eye on as the suspended Deshaun Watson should be available for the game.

This should be a fun season for the Commanders. With major improvements at quarterback and wide receiver, Ron Rivera’s group should push for 10 wins and a playoff berth in a top-heavy NFC.

The Commanders’ final three matchups are incredibly difficult, but their season could be decided from Weeks 5 through 10. During that stretch, Week 6 vs the Bears qualifies as the only “easy” game. The others – Titans, Packers, Colts, Vikings, and Eagles, respectively — could all end up in the playoffs come season’s end.

Flush with offensive weapons and the defense expected to see positive regression after a nightmare 2021, the Commanders should improve on their seven-win total from the previous two seasons with ease. The wild card, of course, is Carson Wentz. If he limits mistakes, Washington should be in the playoff conversation.
