Commanders at Giants - Week 10

  • Date: Thursday, November 12
  • Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
  • Venue: MetLife Stadium
  • Channel: Amazon Prime

Revenge will be on the Washington Commanders' minds in this one. The New York Giants managed to walk out of Northwest Stadium with a Week 5 tie, but that was largely down to head coach Dan Quinn's squad shooting themselves in the foot too often.

The Commanders should have been out of sight. They dominated the first half, and they looked in control until midway through the third quarter. Everyone focused on the botched final play, but the problems began way before then.

Jameis Winston got too much time in the pocket, and the Commanders had no answer for the Giants' blitz packages until it was almost too late. Even then, they still had a chance to win, but an inexplicable ending saw Quinn and general manager Adam Peters leave the field to a chorus of boos.

Quinn was visibly furious after the game. The Commanders could have gained some much-needed momentum, but they caused their own demise.

And even though it wasn't a loss, it felt like one.

  • Prediction: Win (3-5-1)

Thankfully, the Commanders don't have to wait long before getting the chance to right this wrong. It'll be a quick turnaround for Thursday Night Football, but everyone should be highly motivated to stick it to the Giants and restore pride.

Commanders vs. Bengals - Week 11

  • Date: Monday, November 23
  • Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
  • Venue: Northwest Stadium
  • Channel: ESPN/ABC

The Commanders have a mini-bye before welcoming the Cincinnati Bengals to Northwest Stadium for Monday Night Football. This might get flexed, but if not, it's another mouthwatering clash between two LSU phenom quarterbacks who've taken the league by storm.

This game brings back memories of Jayden Daniels' breakout game during the 2024 season. That was also with the national audience watching, and the Commanders will be hoping for similar fortunes against a Bengals team harboring ambitions to go deep into the postseason.

Cincinnati's offensive firepower is well documented. Burrow is flanked by the exceptional wide receiver tandem of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. They aren't getting much from the run game right now, but their offensive line does look a little more secure.

Their defense is also improving. Nose tackle Dexter Lawrence II is well-versed in dominating the Commanders, based on his time with the New York Giants. Boya Mafe, Cashius Howell, and Myles Murphy can generate consistent pressure, and safety Bryan Cook provides an assured presence on the back end.

  • Prediction: Loss (3-6-1)

This will be a difficult challenge for the Commanders. If 2025 second-round cornerback Trey Amos is back in the groove by this point, that will help enormously. But the Bengals might have too much firepower when it's all said and done.

And where that would leave Quinn remains to be seen.
