2. Can Washington get any consistency at the running back position?

It has been the same story for a while now. The running back position is a pain point in Washington. Just when they think they might have their guy, they don't. Following his second season back in 2021, Antonio Gibson looked primed to be the no. 1 back in Washington.

But then, the Commanders went and drafted Brian Robinson in the subsequent draft, forming somewhat of a confusion in the back field. The closer we got to Robinson's return from his gunshot injury, the more it seemed as though he could take over.

Fast forward to present time, and it looks like the Commanders want Robinson to be the guy, especially after a Gibson fumble in Week 1 which resulted in the fourth-year pro getting a total of four touches on the day.

Gibson is super talented and has a skill set that's coveted by offensive coordinators, but his consistency simply hasn't been there. Against the Cardinals, Robinson ran 19 times for just 59 yards, which doesn't give a whole lot of faith in him going forward.

To help the quarterback position out, Washington has to find some semblance of consistency here.
