It's difficult to make sense of the New York Giants right now. Brian Daboll's men are struggling to find consistency at 1-2 and had it not been for an impressive fightback against the Arizona Cardinals, things could look a lot worse.
The Washington Commanders tied their game at MetLife Stadium in 2022 despite the Giants looking like a potential postseason challenger. Looking at how things are unfolding in the Big Apple currently, Ron Rivera will fancy his chances coming off a two-game winning streak in this scenario.
Players like Saquon Barkley, Dexter Lawrence, Andrew Thomas, and Leonard Williams deserve respect. However, signal-caller Daniel Jones has begun the campaign in erratic fashion, which is something that won't go unnoticed by Washington's exceptional defensive front that will likely have key rotational piece Efe Obada back by this point.
Considering the fine margins separating the Giants and Commanders on paper, their two divisional battles could play a leading difference between success and failure in 2023. It'll be a hostile atmosphere, but this all centers on protecting the football and scheming things up to make things easier for quarterback Sam Howell.

If the Commanders can do this and their defense meets lofty expectations, then attaining success at the Giants is distinctly possible.
