Commanders 2024 schedule release
After one of the more dramatic offseasons in recent memory, the Washington Commanders will find out the structure of their 2024 schedule this evening. This is another exciting date in the calendar, one that allows fans to plan trips and identify which contests will be worth attending when the time comes.
The Commanders have a quiet sense of optimism surrounding their chances in 2024. Nobody is expecting miracles right away, but there's a good chance to make improvements and bring the franchise back to some semblance of respectability with head coach Dan Quinn leading the charge.
Examining the schedule will provide a broader indication of winnable stretches, difficult runs, and everything in between. We know who the Commanders are playing, but in what order remains unknown. We'll also find out when Washington has its all-important bye week, which can also make a big difference.
Here's who the Commanders will face in 2024.
Home games:
- Dallas Cowboys
- New York Giants
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Atlanta Falcons
- Carolina Panthers
- Cleveland Browns
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Tennessee Titans
- Chicago Bears
Away games:
- Dallas Cowboys
- New York Giants
- Philadelphia Eagles
- New Orleans Saints
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Baltimore Ravens
- Arizona Cardinals
- Cincinnati Bengals
There are some tricky games against teams with legitimate hopes of a deep postseason run. There are also clashes against those further down the pecking order that the Commanders will likely circle as ones they can emerge victorious from. But there's just no telling for sure until we see the football product in a competitive setting.
Whether the Commanders are featured in many primetime games is also something to watch. While this is a team in transition who have gone through significant turmoil over the last two decades, the introduction of new ownership and residing in a big market with a new franchise quarterback could see a couple of encounters get center stage in the national spotlight.
We'll get official confirmation of the NFL schedule at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
