Commanders looking for swift action
Josh Harris and his brain trust are in the midst of their first hiring cycle since assuming ownership of the Washington Commanders. Based on their rapid actions once the regular season came to an end, it's something they've been planning for some time.
Harris is currently hosting candidates for the head of football operations position at his Florida home. According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the plan is to get someone appointed quickly before focusing on the correct head coach to take the franchise forward. This could also include a few more names added to the list depending on the new hire's thoughts.
"Washington wants to hire the president of football ops first — and quickly — and then that person will determine the coach. I'd expect the list of coaching candidates (currently known to be at 6) to expand."

This sort of decisive action is something the Commanders have been devoid of for two decades. It's a refreshing change of pace to have such an active owner. Certainly better than having someone on a luxury yacht caring very little about the on-field product and overall team infrastructure.
Exciting times are ahead for the Commanders. Harris and his team are leaving no stone unturned. Their ambitious plans are also likely to go down extremely well with any willing suitors looking to hold positions of power.
