Joe Whitt Jr.'s demands

Joe Whitt Jr. is looking to raise standards and establish a winning culture as Washington Commanders defensive coordinator. The team spared no expense when it came to finding the best possible coaches to help achieve their short and long-term objectives. This doesn't guarantee success, but it's a good place to start for an organization languishing among the NFL's bottom feeders.

Whitt's presence should get the defense back on track providing the right reinforcements are acquired. The coordinator also preached the importance of coaching methods and working hard in pursuit of a common objective based on comments via Sports Illustrated.

"The reason that we got the coaches that we got was because they hold people accountable. They're great teachers first but if you don't do it the right way, you're gonna get called out on it. There's only one way to do it, and that's the way that we want it done. And if that's not the way that you want to live, that's fine. Alright, you'll probably be somewhere else, but we're gonna do it that way and, you just have to go do it. You know, it’s easy to say you can do this and that. You just have to go do it. You have to just go work, work, work."

Talk is cheap. That said, Whitt's been waiting for this opportunity for almost 20 years. He'll lead from the front and set the correct example for others to follow. He also doesn't suffer fools gladly, so anyone not pulling their weight will be in for a heavy fall.
