How will Josh Harris approach Commanders ownership?

Josh Harris and his ownership group will be waiting with bated breath for news to emerge from today's vote that will usher in their ownership of the Washington Commanders. It's been a saga full of twists and turns, but the consortium clearly saw something special in this particular project to stick it out and deal with Dan Snyder's petulance.

Harris will bask in the glory of his successful purchase over the weekend. But with training camp on the immediate horizon and many pressing matters that need attention, there is much hard work ahead.

A plan has been formed as part of the group's prospectus put to the NFL's finance committee. Harris is also renowned for taking an analytical approach to decision-making if his ownership stints with the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia 76ers are any indication.

In terms of The Process he adopted in Philadelphia, former general manager Randy Mueller stated via Ben Standig of The Athletic that his model won't wash in the NFL. Therefore, lessons must be taken on board for the Commanders to thrive.

"I would hope (Harris) learned from it because I don’t know too many GMs who would sign up for that (Process) deal in the NFL. That sounds unbelievable to me."

Harris is a local guy who knows how much this franchise meant to the community before Snyder burned every bridge imaginable. He's also methodical enough to have multiple scenarios on the table and won't add any semblance of sentiment to his grand plan.

It'll be fascinating to watch things unfold. But the most important thing, for now, is this represents genuine hope for the future.
