Andrew Luck camp hits back at Commanders contact
After John Keim of ESPN's report regarding the Washington Commanders contacting Andrew Luck without the Indianapolis Colts' permission, things escalated pretty quickly. Jim Irsay got involved and even asked the NFL to investigate further in the event sanctions were required.
This is serious business and might result in a hefty fine or a loss of draft picks if something concrete emerges. Keim stated something similar last year, but Irsay probably didn't see that report based on his reaction to this one.
However, a joint piece from Mark Maske of Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post via Yahoo Sports indicated that Luck or any associate to the retired signal-caller didn't receive contact from the Commanders during their fierce search for a productive presence under center last year.
"The Commanders did not contact Luck, his father or his uncle who has served as his agent, according to a person within Luck’s camp. However, a person familiar with the Colts’ position said the team wants the NFL to determine whether there was improper contact through intermediaries. The Colts do not want the situation to be dismissed without being properly investigated, according to that person."

Whether this is enough for Irsay to let things go and move on with his life remains to be seen. But the matter will likely get some due dilligence from the league as the report suggested.
