New statue for Commanders icon Sean Taylor

One of the most notable abominations of the modern Dan Snyder era centered on the Sean Taylor tribute. This is one of the most iconic figures in Washington Commanders franchise history that was on his way to a Pro Football Hall of Fame career before his life was cruelly cut short, so the way those in power recognized his achievements was nothing short of disgraceful.

Instead of doing things the right way, Snyder cut costs and gave such an important task with very little detail. In many ways, this was a microcosm of his time with the Commanders.

The Taylor 'statue' is nothing more than a standard mannequin you'd find in any clothes store around the country. It's pathetic and downright insulting - especially considering the player's legacy and how beloved he remains almost 16 years after his tragic passing.

This is something Josh Harris and his ownership group should rectify at the earliest possible opportunity. Get rid of the current eyesore and replace it with a bronze, detailed upgrade more befitting of such a ferocious on-field force.

Compared to what the other expected changes as part of the Harris group's short and long-term plan will cost, a new statue tribute for Taylor would be minuscule in comparison. And yet, it would mean so much to Commanders fans around the world.
