Which Washington Commanders players have soaring stock after one of the most dramatic free-agency periods in franchise history?

To say Adam Peters was aggressive in pursuit of improving the Washington Commanders' roster in free agency would be an understatement. The new general manager left no stone unturned, spent money wisely, and brought in the right blend of youth and experience into the fold. There is a lot more to do, but things are looking up at last.

Washington is now turning its attention to utilizing the vast draft assets available. This all starts with what will hopefully become the team's next franchise quarterback at No. 2 overall. After that, it's about filling other needs and taking prospects who can fit into the Commanders' culture seamlessly.

Hopes are high that Peters is the right man to accomplish these feats. The front-office leader was ruthless in his treatment of established stars under the previous regime, which was a necessity in the circumstances. However, some stand to benefit greatly from the moves made.

Much will depend on what happens during the draft, but here are four Commanders players with soaring stock after 2024 free agency.

Andrew Wylie - Commanders OT

Things looked especially precarious for Andrew Wylie heading into the offseason. His indifferent production coupled with Eric Bieniemy leaving the franchise meant his future was uncertain. Looking at how things stand right now, the offensive tackle could be in line to get another shot next time around.

The Commanders released Charles Leno Jr., but they opted to do nothing aside from re-signing Cornelius Lucas. It seems unlikely that Adam Peters will acquire two new starting edge protectors during the draft, leaving Wylie as the projected starting right tackle unless there is a drastic shift.

Given that Washington's offensive line could be much improved next season, Wylie might raise his game with a better-supporting cast. There's no guarantee, but those in power seem willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
