Which Washington Commanders players find themselves on the roster bubble ahead of their preseason opener at the Cleveland Browns?

The Washington Commanders are not practicing today as they travel to the state of Ohio for their Friday night preseason opener at the Cleveland Browns. There's been a lot for Ron Rivera and his staff to evaluate over the opening three weeks of camp, but what some might accomplish in a more traditional game-day setting could be important to their overall chances.

Many roster places are cemented with established figures and those who've given a tremendous account of themselves throughout camp. Some positions are still very much up for grabs and the Commanders could use their warmup contests as the deciding factor before coming to a final conclusion.

That said, here are four Commanders players who find themselves on the 53-man roster bubble ahead of their Preseason Week 1 encounter against the Browns.

Mitchell Tinsley - Commanders WR

Mitchell Tinsley is enjoying a fantastic training camp by all accounts. The undrafted free-agent wide receiver has come up with plenty of notable highlights and is now officially in contention to earn a shock roster spot heading into the preseason.

Tinsley got his foot in the door, but no more than that. The Washington Commanders boast an embarrassment of riches at the wideout position and there might only be one or two places that aren't set in stone as preseason games arrive.

There's no doubt Eric Bieniemy will call plenty of plays for Tinsley to see what the Commanders genuinely have in the wideout. One suspects his place on the team is dependent on how many big plays the former Penn State and Western Kentucky star comes up with before the time for final cuts arrives.
