Which Washington Commanders players must turn heads during a pivotal training camp for the franchise ahead of the 2023 campaign?

Tensions will be running high in just a few short weeks as the Washington Commanders descend on Ashburn for training camp once again. This is always an important stage of preparations, but there is an added level of anticipation this summer given that Josh Harris and his team of investors will get their $6.05 billion purchase confirmed once and for all on July 20.

While an old-school figure such as Ron Rivera will see this as a distraction, it also represents opportunity. Catching the eye and impressing new ownership could keep some in jobs and perhaps even provide that extra level of effort that can steer the Commanders back into postseason contention.

With this in mind, here are four Commanders players that must turn heads when training camp begins ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Khaleke Hudson - Commanders LB

A reason why the Washington Commanders didn't identify their linebacking corps as a position of need this spring has already begun surfacing throughout early offseason workouts. Khaleke Hudson has come to the fore with some outstanding performances in practices, which built on an impressive start in Week 18 against the Dallas Cowboys to conclude the 2022 season.

Hudson was seen more as a special teamer before getting his chance in Washington's season finale. After seizing it with both hands, a situation could emerge where he begins the upcoming campaign as a starter alongside Cody Barton and Jamin Davis on the defensive second level.

There is a long way to go for Hudson, but he's off to a good start.
