Which Washington Commanders find themselves firmly on the hot seat entering their Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins?

One final game awaits the Washington Commanders before heading off on their bye week. The Miami Dolphins visit FedEx Field this weekend, which is another stern test for a team going through some significant complications currently.

Thanksgiving's mauling at the Dallas Cowboys led to defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio being sacrificed. Just how much head coach Ron Rivera can alter the schematics on defense in such a short space of time remains to be seen, but a huge performance is needed versus a Dolphins' offense taking the NFL by storm.

Nobody is expecting much out of the Commanders, which might be a good thing. But that does not detract from almost everyone in the building being under serious pressure with Josh Harris' ownership group watching closely.

With this in mind, here are four Commanders on the hot seat in Week 13.

The Miami Dolphins passing attack is explosive and can rack up huge gains in a hurry. This is a potential problem considering how many big plays the Washington Commanders defense has conceded in 2023.

Any further lapses in concentration from Percy Butler will come with grave consequences attached. The second-year safety needs to provide supreme coverage support at all times whenever Tyreek Hill gets downfield, something that should aid the cornerback unit in their quest to limit the speedy wideout's influence.

In theory.

That's a nearly impossible task based on how Hill's performed this season. Butler needs to remain disciplined and make his tackles count - tasks he hasn't done with enough consistency throughout the campaign.
