Dan Quinn's reluctance to name Jahan Dotson the team's No. 2 wide receiver spoke volumes last week. The wide receiver was finding it difficult to adjust and accusations of a poor attitude began to surface. This came to a head when the Washington Commanders traded the former first-round pick after just two seasons.

The Commanders moving on from Dotson wasn't that surprising in the grand scheme of things. He saw his role diminish within Kliff Kingsbury's scheme and looked like a bad fit. Shipping him to the division rival Philadelphia Eagles was the controversial part, but Adam Peters always takes the best offer regardless of NFC East considerations.

Speculation is surging about the Commanders making another splash in the wide receiver market before Week 1 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This trade also signals confidence in the other options at Kingsbury's disposal heading into a crucial season under the new regime.

With this in mind, here are three winners and two losers from Washington's decision to trade Dotson.

Winner No. 1

Olamide Zaccheaus - Commanders WR

Jahan Dotson's breakout campaign didn't arrive last season under Eric Bieniemy. He barely cracked 500 receiving yards and saw his touchdown total diminish. Everyone started with a clean slate this offseason. Unfortunately for the wideout, there was just something missing. General manager Adam Peters acted accordingly.

The Commanders have been thrilled with the impact made by Olamide Zaccheaus since he arrived in free agency. He knows Dan Quinn well from their time together on the Atlanta Falcons and rapidly surged into WR2 consideration following a sterling summer. With Dotson out of the question, the dynamic playmaker stands to accumulate the majority of his targets with a strong start to the campaign.

Zaccheaus isn't the biggest, but he's versatile and knows how to get open. The former Virginia star can generate yards after the catch with early momentum and might be able to assist in the return game for good measure. From the outside looking in, this looks like a ready-made replacement for Dotson unless someone else comes into the fold.
