Bold predictions for the Washington Commanders as they look to end their concerning recent slump at the New York Jets in Week 16.

It's about time the Washington Commanders put together a performance their fans can be proud of. They've massively underachieved once again this season. They haven't won since stumbling over the line at the New England Patriots in Week 9. Some players are being accused of throwing in the towel way ahead of time.

Mercifully for most fans, there are only three games. The last road contest of Ron Rivera's head coaching tenure is in familiar surroundings. The Commanders are traveling to MetLife Stadium - not exactly a happy hunting ground of late - to take on the New York Jets.

There were huge expectations for the Jets following their trade for Aaron Rodgers. The four-time NFL MVP quarterback lasted just four snaps before tearing his Achilles. After that, any hopes of reaching the postseason or better evaporated in the blink of an eye.

This might come down to which team puts in the most effort given their respective failings. Looking ahead to the clash, here are three bold Commanders predictions for Week 16.

Commanders gain 2 turnovers

As previously stated, Aaron Rodgers' long-term injury was quickly followed by a quarterback carousel. The Jets cannot seem to find the right formula. For every decent performance from Zach Wilson, there are two bad ones. Anyone else they've thrown into the mix isn't anywhere near close to cutting the mustard.

This is an opportunity for the Washington Commanders. While their defense is among the league's worst and hasn't gotten any better since Jack Del Rio was fired, there could be turnover opportunities freely available providing their defensive front gets enough pressure.

Two turnovers would be a good place to start en route to a fifth win of the campaign. Whether the offense can capitalize on them is another matter.
