The Washington Commanders haven't enjoyed much success against the Dallas Cowboys in recent seasons. This weekend's clash is the perfect chance to turn the tide with an expectant fanbase watching on.

Head coach Dan Quinn wants fans to play their part ahead of an emotional reunion with his old employers. There will be plenty of happy faces greeting each other before the contest. When the time comes to strap it up and compete, the Commanders should be all business.

The newfound professionalism and purpose installed by Quinn during Washington's remarkable culture shift should ensure complications are kept to a minimum. Urgency shouldn't be a problem considering they've lost their last two contests. This is also a storied rivalry with no half-measures given in pursuit of progression.

Dallas is going through significant turmoil this season. They are in the midst of a terrible run. They are under-strength with some key men missing from the lineup. They also ruled out offensive lineman Zack Martin, wide receiver Brandin Cooks, and cornerback Trevon Diggs on Saturday to further bolster Washington's hopes.

Nothing should be taken for granted. Being complacent is only going to cause unnecessary problems for this group. Fortunately for fans, they've seen their team execute well en route to easily conquering inferior opposition plenty of times in 2024 to date. Nothing but the same again will do.

Cowboys vs. Commanders game details

  • Date: Sunday, November 24
  • Time: 1.00 p.m. ET
  • Venue: Northwest Stadium

The Commanders are looking to break a concerning run of results against the Cowboys. This is one of the league's most historic rivalries for a reason. It's also gone in Dallas' favor for large parts.

Washington has 46 wins all-time to Dallas' 78. There have been two ties between the two, which both occurred during the first four meetings. The Commanders have won just one in their last five contests with the Cowboys. This would be a good time for that to shift.
