The Washington Commanders didn't have anything more than two picks over the first three rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft, but general manager Adam Peters still maximized them. Now, the general manager gets the chance to really earn his money on Day 3.
Linebacker Sonny Styles and wide receiver Antonio Williams could be shrewd additions. But if the Commanders want to enhance their chances of bouncing back into playoff contention next season, unearthing some rough diamonds lower down the board will be critical.
On this topic, we predicted how things may unfold for Washington in this Day 3 mock draft, where Washington has four picks.
Commanders' Day 3 mock draft rounds off prolific Adam Peters haul
Commanders draft Adam Randall
- Running Back | Clemson Tigers
- Round No. 5 | Pick No. 147
The Commanders are reportedly higher than almost every other team when it comes to running back Adam Randall. If accurate, Peters would be wise to remove all doubt by taking him with their fifth-round selection.
Randall should still be available. The converted wide receiver is a dual-threat who performed extremely well last season. He is just scratching the surface of what he might be capable of. In this scenario, it would be an instant reunion with his old Clemson teammate, Williams.
Commanders draft Ephesians Prysock
- Cornerback | Washington Huskies
- Round No. 6 | Pick No. 187
After resisting the temptation to draft a cornerback over the first two days, most fans are expecting Peters to address this issue at some stage on Day 3. Ephesians Prysock was expected to go much earlier than this, so there could be value with the pick if the defensive back somehow makes it to the sixth round.
Prysock is almost 6-foot-4 with a wide wingspan and impressive fluidity for someone his size. Becoming more disciplined and stronger will aid his transition.
Commanders draft Pat Coogan
- Center | Indiana Hoosiers
- Round No. 6 | Pick No. 209
The Commanders haven't done anything to improve the center position as yet, leaving fans even more perplexed about the decision to release starting option Tyler Biadasz. Perhaps Peters has a veteran in mind once the draft dust settles, but they cannot just go into the year with Nick Allegretti as the No. 1.
Pat Coogan is experienced and accomplished, helping Indiana win the national championship last year. He's technically sound, but the prospect needs to improve his balance in the pros to cope with NFL-caliber defensive linemen.
Commanders draft Cameron Ball
- Defensive Line | Arkansas Razorbacks
- Round No. 7 | Pick No. 223
Cameron Ball was in my final mock draft, and I am still high on him as a prospect. The Commanders could also use another depth piece on their defensive line to develop behind the experienced starting trio of Daron Payne, Tim Settle Jr., and Javon Kinlaw.
Ball has some nice physical traits, but remains unpolished. Lowering his pad level and learning how to gain leverage more effectively are crucial, but the Commanders wouldn't be risking much on his potential in the seventh round.
