Adam Peters has some big decisions to make during the 2025 NFL Draft. The Washington Commanders only have five picks as things stand. That's among the league's worst for assets, which diminishes the margin for error significantly.

When you think about it, the draft is something of a lottery. There are very few (if any) sure things. A bad transition to the pros, injury problems, or expectations they cannot match are causes behind the demise of prospects throughout league history. The more picks you have, the better the probability of hitting on them.

That's just how it is. Peters got a fantastic return from his first draft class, but he also had much more to work with. That's why the Commanders must explore possibilities to increase this number.

Peters could go about this in two different ways. He could examine trade-down opportunities for additional capital. He could also trade a player or two who are deemed expendable.

With this in mind, here are five Commanders players who could (or should) be traded during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Noah Brown - Commanders WR

Let's start by saying that it seems unlikely Adam Peters would trade veteran pieces at this stage. The Washington Commanders are on the cusp of something special with their Super Bowl window open. Adding to a win-now roster is the primary objective, not trading away.

Even so, it couldn't be completely dismissed. Peters is a ruthless roster builder who'll stop at nothing to make the Commanders a perennial powerhouse once again. If that means removing people from the equation as part of his business-first mindset, so be it.

The Commanders added Deebo Samuel Sr. to their wide receiver room this offseason. K.J. Osborn was re-signed, and there is hope Luke McCaffrey can flourish further with another offseason to develop. And of course, Terry McLaurin leads the way.

Washington also re-signed Noah Brown to a one-year deal. He's raring to go after suffering a serious internal injury last season that required kidney surgery. His ability to stretch the field and create defensive pass interference penalties is only going to help the Commanders' cause.

If the Commanders add another wideout via the draft, some analysts are wondering whether this could result in Brown being made available via trade. Teams are always looking for dependable veterans to fill out their depth chart, but it would be a big surprise if the Ohio State graduate wasn't part of the squad in 2025.
