4 moves that would cement Commanders perfect 2023 offseason

Commanders extend Kamren Curl
One of the biggest success stories to emanate from the Washington Commanders in recent years is Kamren Curl. The gifted defensive back emerged as a seventh-round afterthought into the starting rotation right out of the gate, which was followed by firmly establishing himself as a core component within the secondary during the previous campaign.
Curl was nothing short of outstanding last season. His blossoming safety partnership with Darrick Forrest comes with long-term upside in the coming years, so getting the former Arkansas standout a new deal ahead of time is something that should be high on the team’s list of remaining priorities.
The price is only going to go up if Curl continues his outstanding consistency in 2023. Therefore, providing the player with financial security beyond his current deal might end up saving the organization money in the long run.
Washington has made a point of looking after their own since Ron Rivera became head coach. Drafting and developing is a more traditional method of prolonged NFL success, so it would be a shock if Curl didn’t get the same treatment as players such as Terry McLaurin and Daron Payne in the not-too-distant future.
This would go down extremely well among the fanbase. Curl has fought hard and seized every opportunity, so few on the Commanders roster are more deserving of a new deal currently.
