Commanders don’t want to see Javon Hargreave

After playing a significant role in the Philadelphia Eagles’ memorable run to the Super Bowl, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave is going to be a very rich man this off-season. He’s been a significant thorn in the Washington Commanders’ side since arriving in the NFC East, so there won’t be many tears shed if the player does take his chances elsewhere.

Hargrave is a human-wrecking ball on the defensive line interior that’s almost impossible to block one-on-one. He always seemed to produce in the big moments last season and if the Eagles cannot stump up enough to keep him around, there’ll be a queue of teams looking to acquire his services.

The Commanders don’t have a need at defensive tackle after re-signing Daron Payne. But the last thing their patchwork offensive line needs is for Hargrave to remain in Philadelphia or perhaps even sign with the Dallas Cowboys or New York Giants.

If Hargrave wants to stick it to the Eagles, then this cannot be ruled out. Both teams have needs on their interior and if they free up enough funds, then the former South Carolina State standout could cash in to stay within familiar surroundings.

The Eagles have a lot of mouths to feed and quarterback Jalen Hurts to extend this offseason. Therefore, Hargrave could be sacrificed – even if it is to a division rival.
