Dyami Brown – Commanders WR

Considering the reputation Dyami Brown had before entering the NFL, his first two seasons with the Washington Commanders have been underwhelming. The wide receiver couldn’t muster much in the way of targets as a rookie and Jahan Dotson coming into the fold as a first-round selection pushed him further down the depth chart in 2022.

Brown has the chance to impress Eric Bieniemy enough to gain additional involvement next season. Having a creative offensive mind for the first time could propel the North Carolina product, although there’s just no telling for sure with Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Dotson ahead in the pecking order currently.

There’s enough size, length, and athleticism for Brown to improve. If former college teammate Sam Howell is the starting quarterback as anticipated, this previous chemistry is something else that might tip the scales in his favor.

This represents a clean slate for Brown, who has just 17 receptions from 39 targets for 308 receiving yards and two touchdowns from his time with the Commanders to date. But flashing is not going to cut it entering Year 3 of his professional career.

If Bieniemy isn’t convinced, then the Commanders will likely find someone else to fill the void or keep him stranded down the depth chart.
