Fresh off a thrilling upset of the Eagles in primetime, the Washington Commanders can’t afford to let their guard down in Week 11, when they travel to Houston to face the Texans, the current frontrunners to land the No. 1 overall pick.

It goes without saying the Commanders need to win this game. No matter the sport, emotional letdowns are always a possibility after an upset win over a rival. Luckily, Ron Rivera stressed this week that his main objective is bringing his team “back down to earth” so they’re focused on handling business in Houston.

This game certainly isn’t attractive on paper, but fans could potentially add more sizzle to it by placing some wagers. The Commanders remain -3 favorites, but let’s think outside the betting box to make the game interesting. Prop bets are a surefire way to spice things up, and we’ll be hammering these three for Sunday.

3. Terry McLaurin OVER 59.5 receiving yards (-115)

McLaurin will likely match up against Derek Stingley on Sunday, who’s quietly putting together a strong rookie campaign.

Unfortunately, most rookie cornerbacks are getting overshadowed by Jets phenom Sauce Gardner, who could very well be named an All-Pro when all is said and done, but Stingley’s allowed 414 yards on 309 coverage snaps, to go with zero touchdowns, five passes defended and one interception.

While Stingley tightens up his coverage in the red zone, he allows his fair share of yards to opposing receivers. Fresh off catching five passes for 90 yards against Darius Slay (he posted a 8-128 line for the entire game) against Darius Slay, McLaurin should make hay against this year’s No. 3 overall pick.

Heinicke’s targeting McLaurin on nearly 30% of his dropbacks and the two have an undeniable chemistry at this juncture. The Commanders (hopefully) won’t need to throw a bunch to win this game, but McLaurin going for 60 yards or more against a beatable Houston secondary feels more than doable.
