3. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals legitimately went all-in to win a Super Bowl this year only to get bounced on Wild Card Weekend. Of course, they signed JJ Watt and AJ Green in the offseason and added Zach Ertz via trade mid-season.

Now, though, they rank 25th in the league with just $9.82 million in projected cap space and have a laundry list of free agents, including Green, Ertz, Chandler Jones, Christian Kirk and running backs James Conner and Chase Edmonds.

Conner and Edmonds formed an underrated partnership this season, but it’s worth speculating if they played themselves out of Arizona’s price range. When it comes to Conner, he could garner significant interest on the open market after he produced 1,127 yards from scrimmage and 18 total touchdowns.

While injuries limited Edmonds to just 12 games, the Fordham product still tallied a respectable 903 yards from scrimmage.

Assuming the Cardinals don’t want to abandon their RB-by-committee approach, they could look to sign McKissic and his pass-catching prowess to complement whomever they identify as their lead back.

We can’t speak for everyone, but McKissic would look mighty fine on an offense headlined by Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins, don’t you think?
