3. Kansas City Chiefs

As much as we want McKissic back in Washington (re-signing him should be one of the team’s priorities this offseason) we can’t help but drool at the thought of him catching passes from Chiefs phenom Patrick Mahomes.

The Chiefs’ offense doesn’t have much room for improvement, but they can definitely benefit from adding a No. 2 receiver behind Tyreek Hill. In addition, running backs Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon are set to hit free agency.

The idea of losing Williams should terrify the Arrowhead faithful. With Clyde Edwards-Helaire continuing to struggle with injuries, Williams started seven games and racked up 1,010 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns.

Williams has been a huge component of Kansas City’s passing game, too. Only eight running backs managed more receptions (47) than the LSU product this year, which is pretty impressive given he only played 48% of the snaps.

Is that McKissic’s music we’re hearing? With Edwards-Helaire the only RB under contract for next season, the Chiefs are set to lose all their insurance behind their 2020 first-rounder, who’s played 23 of a possible 32 games thus far.

With Edwards-Helaire handling the bulk of the carries and McKissic working predominantly on passing downs and the two-minute drill, it’s fair to say that Mahomes and Co. wouldn’t skip a beat on offense.

With more than $20 million in cap space, McKissic falls right into KC’s budget. Are we crazy to think this is a possibility?
