Week 15 Reality Checks: Washington vs COVID-19

4. The Reality Is, the Washington secondary is decimated.

Kam Curl and Kendall Fuller have easily been the best members of the Washington secondary this season…by a LONG shot. They’re both on the COVID list. And with Fuller reportedly unvaccinated, there is no opportunity for him to come off the list before next week.

In their absence, the likes of Jeremy Reaves and Daryl Roberts are in line to get their first starts of the season. Can these unheralded and largely untested players hold down the likes of Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith? It’s a tall order. I expect Philadelphia to test them early and often via play-action and bunch-set concepts. If they can manage to avoid giving up big plays, it will go a long way toward keeping Washington in the game.
