3. Could Tamarick Hemingway win the #2 TE job and will Sammis Reyes end up on IR?

Fans have been extremely enamored with Sammis Reyes. And pundits like Todd McShay are super high on John Bates. But it is looking like Tamarick Hemingway is emerging as the primary backup to Logan Thomas at WFT camp. Nothing against Reyes and Bates, but they are rookies, and Hemingway worked his way onto the active roster by the end of last season and has a clear edge in experience in this system over both of them. If Bates is able to beat him out, that will be a great sign for Bates’ future.

As many media members like Ben Standing and JP Finlay have speculated, it’s unlikely Reyes would clear waivers and make it onto the practice squad due to his athletic upside. So could a minor injury land him on IR for the year to give him more time to learn football?
