Round 3: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Wide Receiver, Southern California

It came down to St. Brown and Nico Collins on the simulator and the choice was the former.  Collins would be the choice here if St. Brown is off the board.  The Southern Cal stud would offer great value early in the third round.

St. Brown is talented and very intelligent.  The likable wide-out would complete an amazing transformation of the receiver corps in just one offseason.  His tree route system is diverse and will fit in perfectly with the Washington Football Team offense.

Round 3: Tommy Tremble, Tight End, Notre Dame

Tommy Tremble was too tempting to pass up at this juncture and while there are other team needs, finding a tight end to pair with Logan Thomas made perfect sense.

Tremble is an incredible force as a blocker, but he will need to work on his receiving skills.  Fortunately, Washington has an excellent tight end coach in Pete Hoener and Tremble will a huge beneficiary of that tutelage.

Look for Tremble to go from an average receiver to a legitimate downfield threat and the perfect complement to Thomas.

Other Possible Third Round Targets:

  • Nico Collins, Wide Receiver, Michigan
  • Spencer Brown, Offensive Tackle, Northern Iowa
  • Paulson Adebo, Cornerback, Stanford
  • Stone Forsythe, Offensive Tackle, Florida
  • Pete Werner, Linebacker, Ohio St.
  • Tylan Wallace, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma St.
  • Chazz Surratt, Linebacker, North Carolina
  • Kyle Trask, Quarterback, Florida
