Washington Football Team stream-of-consciousness 7-round mock draft
By Ian Cummings
Round 5, Pick 164
So most of the board is a massive yikes at this point, but there are some potential gems in the rough. The list is below. This is also the point of the draft where the Washington Football Team has more positional flexibility, so a more diverse cast will be listed:
- Oregon State RB Jermar Jefferson
- Mississippi State RB Kylin Hill
- Grambling State OG David Moore
- Louisiana-Lafayette RB Elijah Mitchell
- Michigan RB Chris Evans
- North Texas WR Jaelon Darden
- Arizona State WR Frank Darby
- Tennessee WR Josh Palmer
- Florida State WR Tamorrion Terry
- Georgia TE Tre’ McKitty
- Iowa OT Alaric Jackson
- Kentucky OT Landon Young
- Middle Tennessee OG Robert Jones
- Notre Dame OG Robert Hainsey
- Texas DT Ta’Quon Graham
- Florida State EDGE Janarius Robinson
- Northern Iowa EDGE Elerson Smith
- TCU LB Garret Wallow
- Oregon CB Thomas Graham Jr.
- Michigan State CB Shakur Brown
- Georgia S Richard LeCounte
- Arizona State S Aashari Crosswell
- Pittsburgh S Paris Ford
With this pick, keep in mind that the Washington Football Team doesn’t pick again until Round 7, so in all likelihood, whoever you don’t pick probably won’t be available when you’re on the board next.
Because you can get third-string running backs anywhere basically, I’m going to pass on those guys. There’s a weird movement on Twitter saying that the Washington Football Team needs running backs. You have Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic. Savor it and move on, bro.
There are some intriguing interior linemen available here, but I’m going to pass those up for another shot at a true free safety. Pittsburgh’s Paris Ford had a down year in 2020, and needs definite refinement. But he has the physical tools and the range to be that center fielder, if he can put things together.
