1. WR Terry McLaurin

There’s no doubt that Terry McLaurin is biggest Pro Bowl snub for Washington. He has had some  down performances in recent weeks, but he still has had an incredible season when considering all that has gone on in Washington.

Through 13 games, McLaurin has totaled 80 catches for 1,078 yards and three touchdowns. The TD numbers aren’t that impressive, but McLaurin eclipsed 1,000 yards while playing with three different starting quarterbacks. He clicked with each one of them and has only seen a couple of games of minimal production while being a bit limited by an ankle injury.

In addition to what he has done as a pass-catcher, McLaurin is a team captain and has been one of the best blocking receivers on the field. He did well on a play against the Steelers to throw a good, clean, hard block to spring a Cam Sims catch over the middle. That set Washington up to score for the first time and make a comeback against a previously-undefeated Steelers team.

Our own Tim Payne put in best in a recent piece when describing why McLaurin deserved to be in the Pro Bowl.

"Terry McLaurin might be the least flashy elite wide receiver since Jerry Rice, but make no mistake, he’s got more in common with Rice than just personality. He’s a leader by example, he’s a stand-up citizen, he’s a team captain, and he’s durable."

That sounds like a guy that deserves to make a Pro Bowl roster. Of course, the NFC is flush with strong receivers, and there aren’t many gripes to be had with the receivers that made it in front of him — Davante Adams, DK Metcalf, DeAndre Hopkins, and Justin Jefferson.

Still, McLaurin deserves to make the Pro Bowl someday. His production goes far beyond the numbers, and even the numbers are solid. Perhaps next year, he’ll get the nod.
