The 2020 season is 75% over (crazy, right?) and it is time to grade the Washington Football Team offensive line, for the third time.

In what will be my third installment of this series, there is something has became very clear: This offensive line has clearly outperformed its preseason expectations. Entering the year, the Washington Football Team offensive line was expected to be one of the worst in the NFL, another piece to an offense that seemed bereft of talent.

Before the season, Brandon Scherff seemed like the only sure thing on the line. And even he had his concerns. The outlook was bleak. The unit has surpassed that outlook; in fact, they have cleared the bar significantly. It has steadily improved as the year went along, as you will be able to tell from my first and second installments in this series.

Furthermore, it has been a huge part of the Washington Football Team’s improved play, and an even bigger part of the current three-game winning streak. The offensive line play was crucial in the upset victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. They were nowhere near dominant, but they kept an elite front at bay.

The offensive line, a position group that was expected to be a liability, has turned into a strength at times. Let’s dive into the grades and rankings of the offensive linemen.
