No. 6 – EDGE Montez Sweat

Montez Sweat was a target of the Raiders in Round 1 of the 2019 draft, but the Washington Football Team jumped back into the first round and unexpectedly snatched the Mississippi State product.  Some analysts questioned the move only due to medical concerns that turned out to be a false red flag (as you can read in the above article).  Major advantage for Washington.

Las Vegas wanted him to play in their new home and it is easy to see why they wanted Sweat.  Give the Washington Football Team credit for making the move.  It was worth the assets traded to land this Magnolia Puppy Hound.  And thanks to so many teams who took the false medical reports much too seriously.

Sweat had a slow start to his career last year as a rookie, but he began to make an impact during the second half of the season.  He flashed the brilliance that many analysts thought he was capable of producing, even after having doubts about his health.  Sweat proved that the analysts were correct in their initial assessments and 2020 has been a true testament to his talents and incredible athleticism.  He is a true core player for Washington.
