Additional Players

The six aforementioned players are a group to build around, but others could join this elite list.  Most of those players are not a part of the organization as of now.  A franchise quarterback would certainly join this list – maybe Trey Lance.  Perhaps an elite tight end within the next year or two.  A linebacker and a defensive back could join this list as well.

Kendall Fuller is a very good player, but his body of work doesn’t necessarily lend itself to be with this elite group.  Linebacker Cole Holcomb could make the cut, but more time is needed to see what impact he will have in the future.  A player that should be on this list is a franchise left tackle.  The other positions on the offensive line are obviously important, but an elite tackle is needed for any organization that wishes to field playoff teams on a perennial level.

Washington has six players to build around for the future.  More will be needed and the team should have plenty of cap space next offseason, but the draft is where these players should emerge from in the coming years.
