Three keys to victory for Washington Football Team vs. Eagles in Week 1

Here are three keys for the Washington Football Team winning its Week 1 opener against the Eagles.

The NFL season is finally here. Week 1: Washington Football Team vs. Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL schedule creator didn’t give Ron Rivera an easy game to begin his Washington coaching career. Rivera put it best in Thursday’s post-practice presser: the Eagles are the gold standard in the NFC East.

The Eagles are the defending division champs and just a few years ago, they raised the Lombardi Trophy. Washington is a 6-point underdog heading into Sunday’s matchup. Certain things will have to break right for Washington to upset the Eagles.

I like Washington’s chances against the Eagles. In fact, I had them beating Philadelphia to open the 2020 season in my 16-game schedule prediction. And our own Jacob Camenker noted in his preview of Sunday’s game that he likes Washington’s chances of emerging victorious as well.

To do that, however, they are going to have to do a few particular things right. Let’s dive into the three keys to victory for the Washington Football Team to win its opener.
